Callout

Diagnostics, time taken problem solving is not charged – working largely in a mobile capacity, call-out can all the same take up valuable time so while we operate a No Fix, No Fee policy and won't charge a call-out fee for commissioned repairs during normal working hours, we must invoice a half-hour engineers' fee conceivably offset against the cost of repair.

Where problems require that a computer is returned with us, a return to client charge may be included, consequently customers are optionally encouraged to bring in units to help achieve a more cost-effective solution. Charges

Callout is not charged during normal working hours if a site visit results in work for us. Clearly, however, we must include a minimum engineers' fee to cover our costs if a customer simply opts not to go ahead with any recommendation that we might make.

Cable Works / New Extensions / Telecoms Repair

PCWorkspace undertake broadband, telephone and network, new installations, extensions and repairs. Cable, Ethernet and BT specification (telephone and broadband) indoor surface mounted and external cabling starts from £30.00 an hour (£25.00 OAP), minimum £50.00 (£40.00 OAP) plus materials. Day Rate

Our day rate for ongoing contracts, two or more on-site days, is £100.00 per person, per six-hour day, plus materials.

Collect and Return

If a system needs to be collected or taken in for repair, an additional fee presently not exceeding *£10.00 may be invoiced for returning and installing the unit to client premises subject to precise location.

Engineers' Fee / No Fix, No Fee

An engineers' fee is £15.00 (Mon-Fri, 9-5 (offset against the repair cost)). Our optional standard service charge / hourly rate then starts at £25.00 (Less 20% returning customers, second, third unit (Minimum half-hour (£15.00))). An on-site repair might include broadband issues, software checks and repair, a quick service, housekeeping, Internet problems, virus/rogue software/trojan removal, hardware issues etc.

What does No Fix, No Fee mean? If we commit to off-site works but then find and report back a system is beyond economical repair (BER), we may operate a 'no fix, no fee' or 'reduced fee' (essential repair) policy. However, if we diagnose a problem and the client then simply opts not to go ahead, we must invoice an engineers' fee to compensate for time taken. Systems assessed as BER on-site, engineers' discretion.

Evenings and Weekends

Where a system is brought in by arrangement, an 'evening and weekend' supplementary charge is not applied.

£015.00 First half hour / Engineers' fee. Where time taken is less than half an hour, an hour, additional software diagnostics and complimentary maintenance will be carried out…

Optional Short-term Small Business Contract / Staff Cover

£050.00 Short-term, four–six week contract at five hours dedicated remote or on-site service – per week. Travel time negotiable. More hours, longer contract required, please enquire.

Optional, Negotiable, Long-term Business Contract / Staff Cover

£440.00 Long-term, four–six month contract based on four months at fourty hours dedicated remote or on-site service – negotiable per week. Less hours, shorter contract required, please enquire.

New Business

£015.00 First visit, first hour – PCWorkspace pitches to work with new business clients on site for a minimum of one hour for a £15.00 engineers' fee. Charge offset against cost for systems returned to the workshop.
For local charities, a first visit fee may cover up-to two hours, with additonal works at our standard rate less any negotiated discounts.
