George was aboard HMS Speedy in 1923 when she was sunk following a collision with a trawler off Istanbul, then Constantinople, reportedly losing all eight of his medals to the bottom of the sea! Given this, it's not clear as yet where these three medals appeared from... perhaps they were at home after all?
